My Brother's Keeper
My Brother’s Keeper is a joint initiative between CGPS and the Martin Luther King Center (MLK Center) that empowers men of color at the University of Kentucky to connect with other students, faculty, and staff. Through community, dialogue and mentoring, MBK aims to increase, encourage, and support the inclusion and educational success of male students of color on campus by assisting in their academic and professional goals.
Sister Circle
Sister Circle is a collaborative initiative between the Center for Graduate and Professional Services (CGPS) and the Martin Luther King Center (MLK Center) to explore and define positive and negative experiences faced by women of color in academia, professional settings, and American society. Sister Circle will provide professional, graduate, and undergraduate women of color strategies to inspire self-love, healthy living and interactions, and professional and academic success through curated dialogues, community building, and mentorship.
OUTGrads
OUTGrads is a collaborative community group between CGPS and the Office of LGBTQ* Resources. OUTGrads provides students with an opportunity to participate in various educational experiences at the intersections of gender, sexual orientation, and race with the ultimate goal of creating a more inclusive environment. Participants networking with other undergraduate, graduate, and professional students to enhance the overall sense of community.
